What Wore We?
How each outfit is presented on the catwalk isn't necessarily how the designer is trying to make people wear their creations in everyday life. Yet we often reference such events to look back at the history of fashion, leaving us with the question "we wore what?" due to the theatrical stylization. In a typical fashion show, models walk the catwalk dressed in the clothing created by the designer. A fashion show can take different forms. The models can be static, sitting, or standing in a constructed environment. In this virtual fashion show, we took snapshots of the models near the end of the runway. Although the image is static, the photos are scrolling, giving you less time to view the clothing, much like in a real fashion show. In this instance, we provide a mix of artistic constructions by different designers that make a statement or present a particular idea. It is then up to the audience to understand what the designer is trying to say by the way the collection is being presented and visually deconstruct each outfit and try to appreciate the detail and craftsmanship of every piece.>
